Ian is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in the subsea cable industry, driving innovative subsea projects globally. An engineer by profession, Ian is dedicated to advancing transformative infrastructure in the energy and communications sectors. Previously CEO of Global Marine Group, he has fostered enduring partnerships across subsea telecommunications, offshore power, and oil and gas industries. Ian has also served on the boards of multiple leading companies, including: CWind, HMN Tech, S.B. Submarine Systems, and N.T.T World Engineering Marine.

Chief Strategy Officer

Trevor brings a wealth of experience in business development and restructuring across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. A qualified civil engineer, he transitioned from a 21-year career in investment banking, including senior roles at Goldman Sachs and Lazard, to focus on operational leadership and clean energy initiatives. For over two decades, Trevor has been at the forefront of commercializing technologies that address the challenges of the energy transition.

Shaun has over 20 years of senior finance and investment experience, specialising in manufacturing and industrial technology businesses. Before joining XLCC, he was CFO at Plastic Energy, where he completed multiple financing rounds. Prior to that, Shaun was a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, where he was a board director of several multi-billion global, private and listed businesses. Before Carlyle, he worked at Morgan Stanley in corporate finance and M&A. He holds a B.A. in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, where he was a Taylor Scholar.

Ragnhild has over 30 years of experience within high voltage subsea cable business and energy sectors, in various leadership positions, most recently CEO of Nexans Norway and the Executive Vice President of Generation & Transmission BG in Nexans. Ragnhild holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Technology in Trondheim, Norway.

Vegar is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience managing large-scale projects and teams across industries. As Vice President and General Manager at Nexans, he oversaw operations spanning three continents and over 1,000 professionals. Vegar’s expertise in subsea high-voltage cable systems and HVDC technology makes him a recognized authority in delivering complex, high-impact technical projects worldwide.

Paul Dickson
Paul Dickson
Development Director

Paul is a trusted leader and mentor in the construction community, known for his strategic vision and commitment to excellence. He has over 34 years of experience in technical engineering and construction, leading large-scale development programs. At XLCC, he focuses on construction delivery, OEM equipment implementation, and program management with a pioneering digital strategy. Previously, he spent 12 years as a director within ISG’s High Tech Manufacturing sector, managing major projects in data centres, life sciences, and manufacturing.

George Eleftheriadis
George Eleftheriadis
Factory Director

George brings over 15 years of expertise in EHV underground and HV submarine cable manufacturing. A Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, he excels in Integrated Process Management (IPM), leading business transformation and elevating operational standards at Hellenic Cables. He holds an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems & Management and an MBA.
