Who we are
XLCC is an independent British company founded in 2020 to address the critical infrastructure needs of the global energy transition.
As the world moves toward Net Zero, electrification becomes essential. However, there is a global shortage of HVDC subsea cables needed for this transformation.
To meet this critical need, our mission is to engineer, manufacture, install and maintain HVDC cable. This includes building a world-class HVDC subsea cable manufacturing facility in Hunterston, Scotland, along with the necessary marine and project management capabilities.
What we do
XLCC is committed to being a trusted end-to-end provider of HVDC subsea cable projects, managing every stage from design and manufacturing to handling, installation, and maintenance, including the UK’s first dedicated HVDC factory, a state-of-the-art Cable Laying Vessel and a fully dedicated and integrated engineering team with offices in Scotland.
